Lore
Shadow has had a very uneventful life. Born and raised in the same lair, to the lair leaders, she enjoys her Fungusbearing Phony and the company of her siblings.
Yet…she longs for more. She longs to travel and visit other places, other clans. This is a secret that she doesn’t dare breathe to her clan or family, for fear of being shot down and called crazy.
She wants to meet a mate and travel the world with him, laying his eggs and raising his babies. She has a desire that can’t be fulfilled without travel. Yet, because she loves her family, she stays in her lair, with her clan, with her friends and family.
She plans to soon begin visiting different lairs; taking her familiar, of course! Each person she visits must sign their name and element in the ledger before sending her on her way...she is excited!
Of course, anyone she visits is also free to write about her adventures in the diary, but that isn't necessary.

*January 3rd, 2016*

I finally did it! I started my adventure! I gathered up every morsel of bravery and courage, said my good-byes and stretched my wings! Flying, I felt so free. No curfews, nowhere to be, I could do anything and be anywhere.

***

I am not quite sure how much time passed, but eventually the sky grew dark and filled with smog. I couldn't see my claws ahead of me, I had to land. Squinting my eyes to try to distinguish my path, it was just too difficult. I started to panic, flailing my limbs wildly trying to find purchase, something to help guide me to the ground. CRASH!
***

Murmurs grew louder, filling my ears with unfamiliar voices. My limbs ached, and I voiced a groan as I attempted to stretch. My eyes blinked open, hoping to find some light. First, I saw the twinkling bright pairs of floating orbs surrounding me. It took a moment for my eyes to adjust to the shade before I realised the orbs were the eyes of multiple dragons.

One pair of eyes rose above the others, they were a muted shade of emerald. I fixed my own eyes to them as they floated closer. As my eyes adjusted to the darkness, I could see the head of a night black wolf attached to the emerald eyes. This creature stood much too tall to be any breed of wolf though, I knew because I had seen a few in my time. Confused, I let my eyes drift down to inspect the 'wolf's' feet. These feet were thin, covered in jet black scales and each toe was adorned with a long, pointed talon. So it was a dragon! A dragon, cloaked in a furry wolf pelt.

A voice erupted from the wolf-dragon's head, breaking the still of the night... Though it wasn't a voice I expected. It was soft and feminine, though gruff around the edges. "How are you feeling? You crashed into those trees very hard. And then fell into the thorn bushes. We were all very concerned." Many of the other eyes around me bobbed in agreement.

I explained to them I was fine, just a little sore. Some of the dragons flinched, while others nodded, most likely recalling past confrontations with thorn bushes.

"Well, you are more than welcome to rest and recuperate here for as long as you need. Our food stores are plentiful, and there is an open nest where you may sleep. Just make yourself at home."

She handed me a stick with a bundle of glowing mushrooms tied to the end. I used it to light my path as the she-dragon guided me around their lair, showing me everything and introducing me to everyone.

The dragon, introduced herself as PoisonKiss, the sovereign of her clan. We became quite good friends, and the rest of her clan were all rather friendly and hospitable. After a few days, my wounds and aches healed; I knew it was my time to move on and continue my journey. With a heavy heart I waved my goodbyes as I soared back into the sky, promising to write often and visit again.

*January 6th, 2016*
I leveled up to level 5 with the help of Necrobia and Asterion! The females dressed me up in Night Sky Silks, while the males dressed me in Ebony Filigree Armor.

*January 14th, 2016*
It was already midnight when I reached Blood's lair, he was waiting for me outside, such a gentleman. He looks terrifying at first glance due to his decaying process, but he's actually pretty nice and chivalrous. They let me join in their late night after-coli feast, it was very filling and satisfying.

Today has been a long day and I'm falling asleep as I'm writing thissdaqsaass.....

*January 15th, 2016*
I woke up at noon to some weird squeaks, apparently a stone-like thing found us and he's now bristling his fur at my bear. Ianthe, another dragon from Blood's lair, came over and calm it down. Apparently my bear had been sleeping on his spot and he's still angry about it. He's a Shellion, they found him in the Mire. I told my bear to apologize, and after bribing him with treats, the Shellion finally forgave us and began following us around, I think he would be tagging along for a while.

*January 26th, 2016*
Today is the day, the day I'm leaving Blood's lair. They have been more than hospitalizing, trusting and allowing me to tag along for hunting trips and coliseum fights. Blood and Mercy are both excellent fighters, I wish to one day fight in the Mire and Kelp Beds too, I swear I will work very hard on it too!

Food was scarce a few days ago due to the Icewarden's festival, prey were few and everyone had to make do with existing stocks. I didn't want to eat but they insisted, I repaidd their kindness by hunting super hard during our hunting trips after that.

It seems that time really does fly when you're having fun, 2 weeks had since passed ever since I reached here. It seems that I finished packing my stuffs, time to fly! I would definitely miss this place, but a traveler must never be binded.

(Unaware of the Shellion hiding in her travel bag, she began her journey to her next destination.)

*January 26, 2016*

I guess I arrived at a bad time. One of the other dragons, I think her name is Amethyst, was having a seizure or something. No one noticed me slip in, and despite my concern, I didn't want to get involved.

Another dragon saw me curling up in a corner though. They shouted and asked what I was doing, an when I explained that I was tired from my long trip from the Scarred Wastelands, their eyes softened.

"Of course," they said, coming over to help with my bag. "I'm Luna, sorry about that. We were expecting you, actually, and were trying to tidy up, but poor Amethyst..... well, you can see for yourself. This happens from time to time, she'll be alright."

Luna showed me where I could spend my nights, and I threw my bag onto the nest gratefully. There was a yelp, and I quickly opened it to find none other than our Shellion friend from Blood's lair! Happy to see another friendly face, I curled up and am now going to sleep. I hope tomorrow looks better.

*January 26, 2016*

So apparently I arrived very early this morning. It's late in the afternoon now, and I've had time to explore. This clan's food stores are extremely low, but they're very friendly and insist I eat my fill. I know it's not much help, but I helped them bond with a few of their Familiars as thanks. There are only two other Fire dragons here, and I started to get a little homesick. Gabriel saw that and took one of the clan's spare accents, a cape and a few chests, and traded it for a reminder of my home, the beautiful accent I'm wearing now. Amethyst, feeling bad for the trouble this morning, gave me a bandanna from her private stores, apologizing that it wasn't more but promising something much better before I leave. I'm excited, but can't help but think they should use the money to get more food for themselves......

*January 27, 2016*

I don't know how they knew, but my home clan sent us food to eat. We were all able to eat our fill, and the hatchling had a party. It was wonderful. I noticed Amethyst talking closely with my bear and Shelly though, I wonder what they'really up to......

*January 28, 2016*

This lair is getting really crowded. A pair from this lair that resembles the Plaguebringer had apparently visited Perry's clan not long after I left, and came back today with FOUR hatchlings. Four of the lair's other members had to leave quickly to make room. I love this lair, and they're extremely kind, but I worry about them.

*January 29, 2016*

I think it's time I move on. I've made some good friends here, but I'm feeling claustrophobic. Amethyst has made me promise to stay until her surprise pans out, but this time tomorrow I plan to be in a new lair. I really will miss everyone here though......

*January 30, 2016*

Amethyst threw me a party! I can't believe it! She replaced my bandana with a hood, and bought me a beautiful armlet to boot. I think I'm going to miss her and Gabriel the most.

*January 31, 2016*

I'm still here. My plans fell through. But I'm penning a letter to a new clan as soon as I finish this, let's see how it goes.....

*February 1, 2016*

Well, I stopped back at my home lair to drop some things off and I was so surprised! Some of the other lairs I stopped by actually sent things to my home lair for me! I was so astonished. I decided to leave my bear and the Shellion here, because although I do enjoy their company, they tend to get into mischief with each other.
But the biggest surprise at all? A dragon I met at one of the previous lairs, who hadn't had a name then, actually came to my lair! Apparently he liked me... His name is now Reaver, and he said he'll stay here and make sure my familiars and my items are kept safe.
I got a letter from someone named...Espressonist...so I'm going to go to their lair for a bit, see how I like it. Actually...there's a whole list of people who've invited me to go to their lairs...let's see how far I can go!

*February 3rd, 2016*

It's been fun visiting Espressonists clan-- a few of the dragons had a bit much of coffee habit, and as expected were bouncing all over the place. Nice dragons, just... a bit too hyper for me.

Things didn't quite go our way -- two dragons named Saph and Bridgeburner offered to take me to the Coliseum with them, but some of the other dragons were caught up in an argument over which arena was better -- and we never made it. Next time!

*Februrary 8th*
It's really cold here! Nothing like my toasty warm home region! I met some really cool (haha) dragons here, though. Sombreuilth, the clan's resident herb witch, took me under his wing. He showed me some useful mixtures for soothing an upset stomach, helping me sleep, and for allergies! They are really simple and they are made from stuff I can find in my clan, too! I can't wait to try some of them out!

*February 10th*

The flight from the Southern Icefield to The Viridian Labyrinth was a long one, but I made it in good time! After whacking my way through endless jungle I finally met with the witchy Sequoia, a coatl that lead the Deciduous Den's dragons with beautiful calm and a bit of quirky weirdness.

She gave me a tour of their nature based den and they'd even managed to integrate a fantastic underground chamber for the fire natives and the arcane dragons helped figure out a way to mix their special skills with alchemy and therefor managed to make a cold area for the ice flight!

I've never seen anything like it!

We had a lovely meal and they even threw a party for me and we danced all through the night. I feel like I've made lasting friends here in The Viridian Labyrinth, but I know it's time for me to get going. There is still so much to see and do in this great big world. I know I'll keep in touch with my friends that I've made here, though. No amount of distance can stop me!

*February 14*

The Starwood Strand is incredible! I arrived three days ago, but this clan wanted to make sure that I could stay for the holiday. The magic they practice is so cool! They're a little disorganized right now since their former alpha went off to help a different clan, but their apothecary Myrkky is trying his best to hold them together.

Their scribe, Makeiset, has been very helpful and has taught me many things during my stay here. He helped me make chocolates for the holiday and showed me how certain spells work. Myrkky and the botanist, Sunsong, took me out to gather herbs and flowers and we made flower crowns and decorations for everyone! I've been enjoying the stay here and I think they've been enjoying my company as well, but it's time I got going to see the rest of the world. I'm so glad I decided to start this adventure, and I can't wait to see where it takes me next!
*Feb 16 -The Coatl Land-*
Out in the coatl land I danced all night. This clan is full of wonderful culture. So many different seafoods to try and so many different personalities. StarGazer and StarChaser became close friends and allowed me to stay over by their nest! IceGraves the leader was actually scary for a coatl but turned out to be just a lil' Teddy bear! Don't tell him I said that!

*Feb 19 - Clan Geode-*
Earth's domain is beautiful, I must say. Clan geode's lair is surrounded by statues and gemstones, I can understand why their name is. They are all named after gemstones, some of them don't even have previous names. The leader Sardonyx led me around to greet the other clan members. It's a small clan, only 14 dragons! They're like a huge family.
Sphene has taught me a wonderful song. A travel song he says, one that will keep me safe. He asked me to not write it down, or the magic will be lost. I will listen to him, he's very powerful.
Topaz has been interviewing me about my travels, it seems she travels as well. She has wonderf stories, I think me and her will be good friends!
Juangodoyite and Puntsinite are not as open as the other clan members. They are nice, just very private. I think they are mates!

I cannot wait to go home and see my family and clan again. They will be so pleased to see me return home safe.

February 20th
I've stopped by home again, to say hello to my mate, my familiars and the rest of my family...and I discovered something...I want to become a Current, Speckle, Smoke dragon...I need to finish my travels...but when I finally come home, I might work on earning treasure and gems for my clan, so we can afford my new enhancements.

February 21st
I went to visit in lightning, and I was amazed at how busy it was! So many dragons being escorted around, new faces coming and going at all hours - it never seemed to be quiet. I finally found a few stable faces that told me what was going on, to hang out with them, and things would be quiet where they were. For days we watched dragons come and go, and I helped look after the little hatchlings. Finally, it was time to go back to my home.

March 13, 2016
Reaver and I hatched three eggs two days ago! I've just been so busy taking care of the little buggers. Except for one. She has been named Pestilence, and is already integrating herself into a new lair. A plague lair. But I'm not worried. I've learned not to judge. Our other two hatchlings are Sweetheart, a little girl, who has already decided she wants to rehome herself; and Baby James, who will stay with us always.

April 5, 2016
Today I'm sort of traveling again. A slightly far off Plague clan is in need of warriors for the coliseum, so I'm going to go help them level up. The poor dragons are all level 4 or below! Of course, our greatest warriors are staying here on the home front. I feel safe going to this lair though, because several of our own have either visited there or left to live there. Irri even has a child (more than one, though she only brought one home) by a male Imp who lives there!
May 4, 2016
Today is a sad day. My Fungusbearing Phony ran away. I don't know what I'll do without him. Thankfully, my Shellion that snuck along on my travels decided to stay with me![/b]
