Lore
Fluffy was born into the same lair he currently resides in and has never once even strayed away. Peaceful and content with his life, he quietly watches the other dragons, gently caring for and helping them. One day a small, scared young dragon, his own breed joined the clan. She hid her fear well, but he saw through her. He wanted to go befriend her, but where he wasn’t normally nervous to talk to others, he was nervous to talk to her. Instead, he continued with his duties and life, quietly watching her, noting how she ate alone and worked alone. Finally, he gained the courage to help her as she foraged and to sit with her as she ate. They didn’t talk much if at all, but he could feel her quietly growing to trust him…and himself growing to love her. He wanted to tell her…but was afraid it might scare her off, so said nothing. Finally, one day, she asked him about it, confused at how kind and gentle he was toward her. He asked her to be his mate. She said yes. He was beyond happy to hear her say yes. He rushed to his parents, Heartsong and Maron, to tell them the great news. They were surprised when he told them who. “Unnamed Legend?” His mother asked in shock. “She barely speaks to anyone!” His father told him. “She speaks to me,” he calmly answered, “I don’t scare her like other dragons do.” “She doesn’t seem scared,” Heartsong mused, “She just seems in her own world.” “She’s scared, Dad, I can tell. But she trusts me. And I’d never do anything to break that trust.” His mother and father nodded, “I can understand,” Heartsong told him, “And I wish you well.” Fluffy enjoyed life with his mate and when he returned from foraging to find that she’d laid two eggs, he was so excited. “I’m gonna be a daddy!” He crowed excitedly. Unnamed Legend laughed, “You’re so goofy.” She told him. “Will I be a good mom?” she asked worriedly. “I’m sure you will.” He told her, smiling. When their eggs hatched, he made sure he was there to witness as a little boy and girl were born. His heart swelled with pride and joy and he vowed that he would always protect them both.
