Crystaline's Lore

“Leave,” BloodIce coldly told his granddaughter.
“But why, Grandpa?”
“Because I don’t want you here.  Your mother has corrupted the Iceline.”
“Iceline?”
“Yes.  Starting from your grandmother and I, we are the Iceline.  When we have children, they are ice cubes, pure, like your mother.  See how her scales are more icy than those of another dragon?  Ice crystals grow on your mother and her siblings…but you and your brother…you’re not pure ice, because of your father.  I do believe your mother could have…and should have…chosen a pure one.”
“Grandpa….”  Crystaline sighed.  “Please don’t blame me for the crimes of my mother…if it even is a crime, having true love.”
He sighed as well.  “I don’t truly fault you,” his voice was tender again, “I just…I had longed for the Iceline to be pure.  I’ve heard your mother voice that she longs to start her own line…the Crystal-line.”
“Like my name?”
He laughed, “Sort of.  With the coloring from your mother and your father, they could have nearly any color of crystal children…but…I had dreams of the Iceline continuing forever.”
“Nothing lasts forever, grandpa.”
“I am sadly aware of that.”
“You have my cousin though, Ivor…I mean, Bronice…he can continue the Iceline.”
“Aye.  And he will.  But I want you to leave.”
“Why?”
He shook his head.  “You aren’t of the Iceline.  Because of that…I just…believe that you should go.  Spread the Crystal-line throughout the world, not just remind me of how I have failed as a father, to make my daughter long for a fire ice dragon.”
Crystaline lowered her head, “But, Grandpa…I love you.”
He sighed.  “Yes.  I know.  I love you too.  Please…go.”
“But where am I to go?”
“The Auction House takes dragons who long to travel or move.  You could go there.  A fee will be paid for your travels, and you can have a new home.  Just be careful not to fall into the wrong areas, because then you will be sold by another dragon, who will only profit from selling you…there’s a chance you could be forced to fight for a deity without your consent.  Some dragons choose to fight…others are forced.  I don’t want you to ever be forced to do such a thing.  Now go.”
Crystaline slowly walked away from her grandfather, glancing behind her nervously, hoping he would change his mind…but he didn’t look at her…refused to look at her, as she left the only home she’d ever known…for the great unknown.

The First Council Meeting

"SeaKing," Dissension ordered, "come here."
"Yes?"  He asked, in a bored manner.
"We need a council meeting."
"Why?"
Dissension sighed and turned away, "Because there are so many new dragons showing up and I am not okay with this.  We need to have a meeting and have something be done to make it end."
"This clan has always accepted new dragons of every element and breed."
"And it needs to end."
"That is not your decision to make."
Dissension wheeled on SeaKing, snarling, "I know that, you idiot.  That's why we need a council meeting!"
With a sigh, SeaKing made the arrangements necessary, and soon, the dragons were gathered.
Monarch and Valerina sat at the head of the meeting, Dissension beside Valerina, SeaKing beside Monarch, then Innocence, Phyllis, Outsider, Destroyer, FireIce, Iceanna, and Stranger completed the circle.  At Valerina's feet lay the newest prince of Clan HeartThief, Landrian.
"Dissension, you've called this meeting?" Monarch questioned.
She nodded.
"The reason?" Valerina asked softly.
Dissension snarled at Valerina, then turned to Monarch with a smile, "This clan has been growing...and that is unacceptable.  A good number of these new members are not water.  In fact, Monarch, ever since you took over, ten permanent members of our clan have joined.  Of those, two are water."
"I'm not understanding the issue here," Monarch replied calmly.
"This should be a pure water clan!"  Dissension erupted.  "Three of these dragons would be very dangerous to water dragons if we ever had to fight against them.  They are ice and lightning dragons.  They could freeze us, or electrocute us.  And you're okay with this?"
"True, there could be dangers.  But a water dragon can harm a water dragon just as easily, using non-elemental magic."  Valerina calmly replied.
"You don't care." Dissension snarled, "You're not a water dragon!"
Valerina stood straight, "Do not ever say something like that again.  I love this clan.  My mate and children are water dragons, and I adore them.  The only dragons I have anything against are those who cause unnecessary pain or violence."
"I would like to point out," Innocence said softly, "that not all of the dragons on the council are of the water element...."
Dissension ignored him.  "We need to make this lair a pure one, a clan that is only water dragons."
"Not all of the dragons on the council are water."  Innocence repeated.
Dissension felt her arguments failing and those she'd hoped to be allied with her against her.
"Dissension," Monarch said calmly, "Go back to your nest.  This meeting is adjourned."

An Innocent Exit

The days grew long in Clan HeartThief.  Summer was upon the waters, warming their surface, though if a dragon would care to plunge deeper, they would discover that the waters were nearly freezing.
Innocence was often found in the deeper water, trying to cool himself.  Because he was a tundra and and ice dragon on top of that, he needed to cool off.  He missed ice.  But most of all...he missed killing.
He'd been waiting for a long time to be able to kill off and take over this clan, but then another dragon had taken it from him.  At first glance, it would appear that Monarch was the one who had taken over, but Innocence knew better.  It was Dissension.  She had done it.  It was she who had called the rain down.  She held magic, much like, when he did research, her grandfather on her mother's side.  A wildclaw named Zalitz.  She held the power to turn a fire clan into a water clan.
But...could she turn water to ice?  That's what Innocence wanted to know.  If she could...she would be a valuable ally.  If she couldn't...well...he would just make her feel like she was an ally...then kill her.  He had no regrets.
He eyed his future victims...who was weak...who was weak?  He soon singled out a family.  They were rather odd.  The mother was the daughter of Crurry (ally of DarkFire) and his mate Sunn, and the father was the son of two of the greatest coliseum fighters.  And the three children that remained home, were known as The Unnamed.
All were fire dragons.  That wouldn't be good for him when he finally took over.  Fire melts ice, after all.  So, he took a long hard look at them, then approached Dissension quietly, when her much more easy going mate, SeaKing was away.
"Tell me, young one," he purred, "how do you feel about dragons that aren't your element?"
Dissension looked him up and down, a look of disgust barely masked.  "Why is an ice dragon speaking to me?"
"Please note," he growled, "I was your ally in taking this clan over as water...now answer me."
"I abhor dragons that are not water.  And that includes you."
"Ahh, but daughter, all my element is is frozen water....  Much harsher, much sharper.  This type of water gets things done well."
She eyed him suspiciously.  "What do you want?"
"The Unnameds.  I want them gone."
"Dead?"
Innocence shook his head.  "Fighting with a deity not their own.  I am fearful to entreat the Tidelord myself...would you care to do so?"
Dissension rolled her eyes.  "We can get them out of here much easier than that."
Innocence watched as Dissension spoke quietly with Luna and DeathFlight, two of the greatest fighters.
"They're going to help The Unnameds train.  They'll bring much more treasure our way if they're trained for fighting.  I'll be telling them that it's in case we have a war."
Within a few days, Dissension approached Innocence herself.  "Have you noticed anything different about our clan?"
Innocence looked around, until his eyes landed upon an empty nest.  Leather wrappings and smoldering embers remained lying on the ground.  But that was all there was left of The Unnameds.  They had left without saying goodbye.  Every last one of them.
"And how did you get them to leave?"
Dissension smiled, "I threatened each one individually.  I told Ethandria that if she didn't go, her mate would be killed.  I told Blaze that if he didn't go, his children would be killed.  I told the children that if they didn't go, their siblings would be killed.  In fear, and desire to save their family out of...love...they did as I asked.  How weak is that?"
Innocence smiled and shook his head.  "So weak....  Let them perish.  Their fires quenched by the waters of the Tidelord, as they fight for a deity they don't serve or trust.  All because of love.  Well done, daughter."
"Why, ice dragon, do you call me daughter?  You've called me that once before."
Innocence leaned close, and Dissension smelled rotten meat on his breath, and odd smell from a plant eating dragon, "We're of the same spirit, Dissension.  We could both kill without remorse...."  Then he turned and walked away, leaving Dissension staring after him, wondering if the bloodstains on his fur was the color of his fur...or actually the blood of victims past.

Ever since he has been born, Seeker has been...well...seeking. He seeks everything, in all things. He seeks joy in sorrow. He seeks truth in darknesses. He seeks love in the face of hatred and peace in the midst of turbulence.
I suppose seeking everything was a bit of a stretch. He never seeks pain. He never seeks sorrow. But he does recognize the value in both things when placed in the proper place.
Although he never knew the human Solomon, he found texts written by him and enjoys reading about how each thing has its own place and time. Dancing and mourning. War and peace. Everything has its place.
And Seeker seeks to have each thing in its place at its own time. He seeks wisdom. He seeks knowledge. Seeker seeks.

The New Age Begins

After the takeover, Monarch stood in shock.  He hadn't been around so much moisture since he left home as a hatchling.  He supposed he should thank Dissension for this...but he felt like a criminal.  It wasn't right.  But...now he was a king.  He stood strong, proud, and donned a water crown.
"Oh, Monarch!"  Dissension came up to him, a smile on her face.  "I have an idea."
"And that is?"
"Dusk, DarkFire, and all of their advisors will become outcasts.  Any dragon that supported us during this takeover will become an advisor.  Any dragon absurdly loyal to DarkFire and Dusk will be sent to fight with the Tidelord.  Thoughts?"
"What about the fighters?  I know that most of them are loyal to DarkFire.  The only one I can think of that isn't completely committed to DarkFire and the fire element is Luna.  But we need those fighters.  They supply our clan with food."
"Keep a close eye on the fighters."
"What about Protector?  Do you honestly think that he would protect me?"
"Tell him a little story.  I don't care what, just make him think that his parents will have hope.  And make sure he tells no one.  Got it?"
Monarch sighed.  Perhaps he wasn't cut out for ruling.
"Did you know that Shadow and LittleFire have already left?  It's like they're scared.  Who knows, maybe even more dragons will leave.  We can make room for purebloods.  And by purebloods, I mean water dragons."
"What about the water dragons that didn't support us?"
"Like who?"
"Gentleness, Frost...all of them.  What about Rusty when she returns?  She's the dragon that coined the term "steamlets" for our clan."
"I highly doubt that Rusty will return."
"No one will accept UnnamedLegend as an outcast.  She's too kind to everyone."
"Fine, but don't let her be an advisor.  She's going to be a citizen.  Just like you were."  Then she skipped away with a smirk on her face, leaving Monarch to wonder who was truly in charge here....

Journal Entries from May 17, 2016

DarkFire
We...we've been overthrown.  Monarch, a dragon I never would have dreamed such treachery from, has taken over.  Dusk and I are no longer the leaders of a fire clan, but citizens of a water clan.  Monarch has SeaKing and a new hatchling named Dissension as his assistants in this terrible, terrible debacle.  If only there was a way to undo this.  But we can't.  Everyone is weak.  No one can fight against them right now.  The shock.  It's too much.  We must let him run his course.  Oh...Monarch...why?

Webbers
This is bringing back too many memories.  Mother and father....  DarkFire and Dusk have been taken over, just like they were.  Oh...I don't know what to do.  I don't know where to go.  I'm scared to stay here.  Just like last time, I was close to the rulers, what if Monarch decides to destroy me?  I'm so scared.
Jacob
This isn't right.  Monarch has just taken over, along with two other skydancers that I don't know well.  Katie and I have plans to reclaim the leadership for DarkFire and Dusk, but it's not going to happen for awhile.  We need to lie low.

Purity
I'm scared!  A new dragon took over.  What if they try to hurt me or mom or dad or Biron or Volt or Dante???  I guess the dragon isn't new, he was here before I was, but now he's the king!  I don't like it!
Innocence
A window has been opened for me.  Within the year, this clan will go through a time it will never have expected.  Even worse than this.

"Please, Peace...keep her from causing problems."
Young Peace lowered her gaze to the ground. Barely an hour old, yet already, she was the only one that her sister would listen to. The only one who could convince her to do anything...yet she still could do nearly nothing.
Her parents believed she was the one who would rein in Dissensions actions, and Peace was frightened that she couldn't live up to their expectations.
She was meek. That is to say, she was gentle, kind, peaceful, forgiving, and humble, all combined. One couldn't tell by looking at her interact, but Peace was a strong dragon. Gentle, but much stronger than she appeared to be.
So she followed her sister, doing her best to impart views of right and wrong toward her...especially when it came to the worth of other dragons.
But then it became too much for her clan. Her sister was always harsh toward non water dragons, and it wore on them, and finally, Dissension was sent away.
"Peace, you have to go with her. Please, go with her," her mother pleaded.
"But I'm happy here...at home. With you!"
Scatha sighed and gently kissed her daughter's forehead. "I'm happy with you at home too. But Dissension needs you with her."
"Why? She never listens to me anyway."
"I think she listens more than you think."
Peace felt her eyes begin to water. She didn't want to leave home. She was happy. Why should the way Dissension acted affect everyone? It wasn't right. But Peace swallowed her own feelings and followed her sister to the fire clan.
She was frightened. She'd never been so far from home. And then Dissension was gone, already spending time with two skydancers who were of the water element. She was getting along well with them although she was ignoring dragons from all other clans, including DarkFire, the leader, who was a fire dragon.
So Peace sat in the shadows, watching the dragons pass by...and let the new feeling of loneliness wash over her, feeling it slowly rise, as it begin to drown her.
She felt as though she had no purpose any longer. If her purpose was not to keep peace between her sister and her clan members, what was it?
"Peace?" A female imperial approached her.
"Um...yes?"
"My name is Astrid. I'm Rusty's mother. Although...I suppose that doesn't mean much to you. My daughter Rusty lives here. She's gone home to visit with friends...us coming here made her feel a little bit homesick. We actually live in your clan."
"You do? We?"
"Peter, my mate, is here with me. We came to lay our eggs and spend time with our daughter." I hope you enjoy yourself. This is one of the best fire clans we've ever known."

Dissension Rains

Monarch felt the words of the small hatchling preying at his brain.  Quench the fire?  Make this clan a water clan.  But would they move, or merely become water?  They shouldn't move, that was ridiculous.  Monarch laughed to himself about the absurdity of a small water clan in the midst of the Scorched Wasteland.  But it would be done.
How would he manage this?
"Oh, Monarch...."  Monarch turned to see Dissension standing with a group of water dragons behind her.
Phyllis, Stranger, SeaKing, FireIce, and even the two clan outcasts, a light dragon named Destroyer, and a fire dragon named Outsider.  Standing partially behind them was Innocence, an ice dragon.  Iceanna stood behind FireIce, looking distressed.  This was her clan.  She was born her.  But she didn't want to go against her mate.  She wanted him to be happy.  He had come from a water clan, and he missed his element.  Peace hid behind her sister, fearful of what was to come.
"Dissension?"
"I've brought you allies.  They aren't even all water dragons.  With you and me included, we have eleven dragons."
"Very nice, but how many dragons would be against us?"
"Well, I've gathered which dragons are fully loyal to the current leaders.  Webbers, Crurry, the three fighters, their three children and one that is mate to their children, Cuddles, their granddragon.  Honestly, I don't know how loyal the others are.  They're probably just along for the ride.  Besides that, I've been speaking to Innocence and he's been known as quite the fighter in his home clan.  We can take them, Monarch."
Monarch flicked his eyes to SeaKing.  Though much younger, SeaKing seemed wiser.
"The time is ready whenever you are, Monarch."
"Then let's do it."
Dissension turned to Peace with a smile on her face, ignoring the fear in her sister's eyes.
Monarch called for a counsel meeting, his ten dragons behind him.
"DarkFire, Dusk, Advisors, Citizens."  Monarch nodded to each in turn.  "I'm sure you're wondering why I have called for this meeting.  You see before you your current leaders.  And you see me."  Dissension and SeaKing took up their places beside him.  "I want this to be peaceful.  And please, note...I have no hard feelings toward any dragons in this clan.  My name is Monarch.  And I must take my place in this clan as your monarch."
There were gasps of shock.
"Monarch?"  DarkFire asked questioningly.
He turned to DarkFire.  He wanted to rule, but now he was questioning his methods.
"It is time for fire to be quenched and water to rain!" Dissension cried out and lifted her head to the skies, screaming powerfully.  "We shall be a water clan.  Monarch as our king, SeaKing and I, prince and princess."  She looked DarkFire square in the eyes, "You."  She spat condescendingly, "You can be the lore keeper...but your time as ruler is over."
The clear skies were suddenly clouded over, and rain poured down in torrents.  The fiery land became flooded and screams rang through the caves.  The water was rising.  The rain was coming harder and faster.  And before night fall, there was no sign that fire had ever been there.
Monarch was king.
Dissension had rained.
SeaKing had done what he came to do.

Dissension Sprinkles

Dissension approached Monarch with her nose held in the air.  "I hear you want to take over this sorry fire clan."
He laughed.  A hatchling, trying to talk to him about matters such as this.  "As if I would tell a someone.  Even if I were.  Anyone could be a spy."
Dissension rolled her eyes, "Do you even know why I'm in this lair?  It's to teach me tolerance.  I came from a water clan.  The same water clan you came from.  And I think that water dragons are better than any other type of dragon."
"Oh, no, I don't think water dragons are better, I just think that I should be the king here.  I am named Monarch after all."
"Well, I can help you take over."
"Oh?"
"Yes.  Were you even going to leave this clan with the element of fire?"
"I was planning on it.  I'm a water dragon, but I have--"
"What a wimp...."
"A wimp?"
"Yes.  Take over this clan, and turn it to water.  Don't be a..."steamlet" like Rusty said.  I've heard people talking about her.  I think she went back to her home clan because she knew I was coming...and she was scared.  As well she should be.  Quench fire, Monarch.  Make it die.  And then, make me a princess."
"SeaKing wanted to be a prince as well.  And who do you suggest should be queen?"
"When you die, SeaKing and I will be taking over."
Monarch felt a twinge of fear, but brushed it aside.  A hatchling couldn't kill him.
"And I should have no queen?"
Dissension shrugged, "I suppose if you find one.  Just remember...SeaKing and I shall be your heirs."
"And your sister?"
Dissension paused.  "She's weak.  She loves.  She is...well, what her name is.  "Peace".  What use is peace in a time of war like this?  She will be a common citizen.  I will be a princess.  So...when will you take over?  I'm here.  Aren't I what you've been waiting for?"
Monarch appraised her once more, then walked away.
She sat and smiled watching the strong skydancer walking away.  She knew her time would come.  Dissension would rain.

The End Draws Near

(Reading the lore of the above dragons, Monarch and SeaKing, will help this story make sense, just click on the names)
The sun was setting over the horizon and as it set, the colors flared as if they were fire.  SeaKing watched, and sighed.  He secretly longed for it to stay fire forever.  But the seer dragon knew better.  Monarch would become ruler.  All would be water.  And SeaKing would make it happen.
He had many names, one was even LifeBringer.  How could he be a life bringer if he was going to be ushering in the fall of fire?  The quenching of the element loved by most of the dragons within these caves.
If only there was a way to make it not happen.  If only there was a way to keep Monarch from taking over.  If only...if only.
"SeaKing."  The older dragon greeted him, and SeaKing looked up.  If only Monarch lived as many lives as SeaKing did daily, then he could see what crimes he was truly going to be committing and what he was truly ushering in.
"Monarch."
"Are you pondering today?"
SeaKing gazed into the sunset, daring it to blind him, and nodded.
"On?"
"When this lair becomes washed away with water, and the firey element quenched, where will this clan reside?"
Monarch sat beside SeaKing, and also gazed into the sunset.  "Perhaps we should remain here."
"Should we?"
"Yes.  Make this our refreshing stream in the lakes of fire."
"What quarrel do you have against fire, Monarch?"  SeaKing asked him, in the voice of one who was equal, not greater, or less.
Monarch was silent.  "What quarrel?"
SeaKing nodded.
A deep sigh echoed in SeaKing's ears.  "I have none.  But I was born to be a monarch.  How can I become a monarch with no kingdom to rule?  I would be a vagabond, a stranger, in any clan.  Here, I am known.  Here I am liked.  This will become my kingdom."
"But how do you plan to take the clan over?  How can you do such a thing peacefully?"
Monarch turned on SeaKing, his blue, water eyes flashing.  "Why are you asking me such questions?  You promised you would help me when the time came.  The time is nearing.  Why question me?  And why question me now, of all times?  SeaKing...if you continue, I will have you thrown from hence when I become king.  And mark my words...I will become king."

"Son, run!" Snape shoved his son out to sea and he floated away.
HiddenTreasure screamed. Why was his father doing this to him? Why? Supposedly, the clan was nearing death. But HiddenTreasure was a hatchling. He didn't understand.
There was a note that his mother had lovingly tied onto him. He couldn't read it. He was still a hatchling.
He came to land on a friendly fire clan. They took him in and accepted him as one of their own. It wasn't until later he finally worked up the courage to take the note that had been tied to his neck to DarkFire, the leader of the clan, and ask her to read it to him.
But it was far too personal, and she decided to wait until he was grown and could read it for himself. And he has never shared it with a soul.

CRACK! Lightning crashed across the sky, bringing with her, her brother Thunder. Attor hid where he hoped no one could find him. He was scared of his element. He felt like a coward. He had done nothing good in his life. He had yet to find love. He had yet to become a mighty warrior. He was just...Attor. Hatchling of Loret and Lora. Tolerated because of his parents.
He was neither kind nor gentle. He was just himself. Nothing spectacular about him.
The storm kept raging as he covered his ears. Tiny splats of rain leaked over from the Sea of a Thousand Currents, and hit sharply on his nose. He heard the popping of fire from the Ashfall Waste. And he was frightened. No matter where he went, all was frightening. He truly was a shame to his family.
With his tail between his legs, he slunk away from his clan, to Ashfall Waste. It was the safest and nearest place, in his opinion.
"Hey, you, what are you doing there?" A harsh looking dragon welcomed him.
"Hiding, sir." He glanced up into the eyes of a fire dragon. Was he about to be burnt.
"From?"
"Everything?"
The dragon, a large guardian, let out a slow, loud, heavy sigh. "I see. Come in."
And so Attor became part of DarkFire's clan.

I ask you, siblings...what are your complaints? We have one brother, and he alone retains the right to complain. He was not named into the honor that we were.
Why should we complain for the burden we bear? We see the past as plainly as we see the life before us. Who has seen that? Not a soul. I see sisters at play. I see sisters fighting. I see the pain as they believe their mother to be dead. But to me, it is an honor.
The unnamed chronicles do not affect me the way they do my brother and sister. I refuse to allow it to do so. I am a strong dragon, therefore I behave as one. I see the pain of the land Armitty...but I also see the joy and peace.
My brother and sister see only the pain. Why? Why do they only see the pain? I see all of it. And I allow myself to feel all of it.
At times, I find myself sobbing over the pain of those in the land Armitty...but the next moment, I am rejoicing at their accomplishments.
I embrace my burden. I embrace my honor. I embrace my name.

Had I lived, I would never have been king. I was the youngest. I am now the forgotten. But I'm not really Justice. Like my sister Anemonia...I am but a pawn to hold in place his story. The tragic story of a babe whose mother dies in childbirth. Oh his sister and brothers cared for him.
But in the end? In the end there was a stake driven through his heart by a fright. A fright who then turned the blame to his brother. His poor...soulstriken brother. If he had never been born...the siblings would never have been torn apart. His mother would not have died. The kingdom would never have been taken over.
Had he not been born, the story would have ended differently. Why did he have to be born? Could not the force that holds the humans together have killed him in the womb and kept his birth from ruining the peaceful country?
Had he not been born, my parents would not have cursed my siblings and I with remembering these things daily. Anemonia would not have her name. Armitty would not have her name. And I, I would not have my name. We would not be cursed. But because of the birth of one human that was written in the chronicles...because of him, we are cursed.

I am a magical land written of in a series of unnamed chronicles. The stories that take place within me and my bretheren, Gloris, Armitty and the Misa-Terram, two of which have not been birthed here...they are filled with magic and adventure.
If only I were truly a part of them.
Alas, but I am only named from the country, although at times I feel as though I truly am the country. I can feel the adventures taking place inside of me. I can sense names, and stories. I see Arik. And I can see his bride Sophie. I see them on their wedding day and then when they become the rulers, when Princess Sophie's father passes the crown to the now King Arik.
I see as a girl name Rai rides in, as a boy named Ryan, with a man named Jeremy, screaming for her brother. But the king has left and alas...they must follow him into a neighboring country.
I see the things that happens there. I see Zarius. I see him come and become regent. A lowly human, son of a murderer...a regent.
And I am not part of these adventures! But why? Because, although I long to be, I am not the books. I am not the series of scrolls. I am not the Unnamed Chronicles. I am merely a pawn. A pawn made to hold their stories in my soul.

Lore
Her eyes closed tightly and she envisioned a magical country. It was forged by friendship, and grew within the bonds of love. The trees grew green and the magical creatures flourished. She saw a dragon named Forest. A dragon named Cinder. A human boy named Kayden, who explored the lands with his friends.
And the name of the land? It was called "Emitty".
She adored the visions that danced in her mind. Emitty. Emitty. Emitty. Ithilethiel loved it. She wished she could live in such a wonderful world. But when it became evident that she would never be able to go to the land of her dreams, she became obsessed with having children, in hopes that one day, one of them would be able to leave and find a home in that land.
It became evident as she became older that it didn't matter. Neither her, nor her children would ever go to Emitty.
Out of desperation, she named her next son "Emitty" in honor of that land, but he did not appreciate the name, and left his clan, searching for something else. The magic followed him wherever he went, both because of his magical name, and his magical element, but he refused to allow it to take place in his soul. He pressed it away from himself.
He despised the magic commonly used among those in his element, and would have nothing to do with it. He knew, and many around him knew, that he could easily have become one of the most powerful warlocks in all of the dragon world, but he refused.
Some dragons wondered if perhaps he was frightened by the power. Others speculated about if he were secretly honing his skills, in wishes of taking over with the magic coursing through his veins. Only he truly knows.
Whatever the case, he was gentle with all. He IS gentle with all. Including a lonely dragon named Ghost. He took her under his wing, and they became not only best friends, but mates. They even hatched two eggs together, although their children quickly left the lair.

Lore
"And as the sun rises in the east and sets in the south, so do we welcome Princess Sunn." The skydancers surrounding the hatchling kneeled, "Your highness."
She blinked, then looked up at her parents. Her father was a mighty imperial, and her mother a gentle skydancer. And they were royalty, which, by her hatching, made her royalty as well.
She was raised and pampered. She was the Sunn of her people. And with her, there was no need for the moon.
But the day came when Sunn felt she had to set. And so she did. She set sail on the wind, and let it blow her home. But not the home she had grown up in. The wind blew her gently...and it blew her viciously. It left her bruised and beaten when at last, in a whirlwind, set her on the blazing floor of Clan DarkFire.
Bruised and bleeding, Sunn, Princess Sunn, shook with hunger, thirst, and exhaustion. Her tongue was clinging to the roof of her mouth and she couldn't pry it off long enough to ask for a drink.
A tall, frightening dragon stood before her, towering over her. She found out that his name was Protector...and despite his harsh, cold exterior, she saw how sweet he truly was inside. He led her inside, to his parents, the leaders of the clan, and got her fed, and water to drink. They gave her rest, and time to heal.
As she was healing, she found that a gentle coatl was keeping his eye on her. Making sure she never wanted for anything. His name was Crurry, and he told her stories of his "run around" younger years, as well as how he himself came to the fire clan they were now both a part of...and she found herself loving him. And the former Princess Sunn, became Sunn, mate of Crurry.
They lived a simple life together, but only laid one egg, which when hatched, was a skydancer, which they named Ethandria. And though their lives have not ended...they have lived happily ever after.

As child of two of the greatest fighters in the clan, Blaze has never known hunger, or loneliness. Everyone crowds him and he eats it up. He's strong, funny, easygoing and everyone knows it. Sometimes he loses his head and allows the popularity to get to him.
Because of his popularity, most of the dragons like him...but because of the way he allows his head to get into the way, there are some who despise him.

Letter From Jacob to his Parents

Dear Mom and Dad,
I'm sorry I haven't written home like I promised I would...things just got a bit busy. You probably wouldn't recognize me now.
I have a wonderful mate. Her name is Katie. She is a spiral and we have six children together. You're grandparents! If you ever would like to come to visit, or at least see your grandchildren, feel free to drop by. I'm sure that DarkFire (our clan leader) wouldn't mind.
I'm surprised you didn't rip your wings off raising my siblings and me...have any of us ever painted your spines, Dad? My daughter painted mine. Daughters.
I mostly wanted to check in and see how you all were doing. Here's a gift that our fighters found in the coliseum and thought you might appreciate.
Love,
Jacob

Birthday Week...Day Five

Darkfire: Well, this time it's actually your birthday, we aren't just celebrating another day in the birthday week. Isn't that nice?
Maron: I sure think so.
Gentleness: Oh, it just makes me want to sing all sorts of beautiful songs!
Protector: It takes a lot to impress me....
Dusk: Son, go back to guard duty, you know where you're supposed to be.
Protector: *huffs away*
Darkfire: *sighs* please forgive him. This is to be your day and it is to be wonderful.
UnnamedLegend: We hope it's been fantastic....
Kareef: You even got one of my new hatchlings as a present. I hope you love him as much as his mother and I do.
Autumn: Now, now, Kareef, we used to live in her clan, she was very kind to us and I'm sure she will be very kind to our child. Don't pressure her.
Kareef: He's my son, I will make sure he's taken care of.
Cuddles: Guys, let's not fight.
Attor: Fighting is not appreciated.
Darkfire: Children, please, we're getting woefully off task.
Wine: Children, come on, there are only two children here!
Frost: Hey, I'm not that little!
Darkfire: Guys, we're not on task at all.
BloodBath: I know, I know, so does Wine, she just likes to cause trouble.
Frost: You wanna piece of me? I just look cute. I'm really tough.
BloodIce: I bet you are. That was me when I was little.
Darkfire: Guys...this isn't what we're here for....
Frost: Yeah?
BloodIce: Yeah.
Frost: What are you like now?
BloodIce: Oh, I'm big and tough. But I've got a mate, so I gotta settle down and learn not to act tough unless I need to be.
Frost: Yeah, but I'm still little, so I need to act tough so people know I'm tough.
BloodIce: *laughs* Sounds good, kiddo.
Frost: Don't. Call. Me. Kiddo. I am big and tough!
BloodIce: Sorry, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings!
IceWoman: Oh come now, she's new here. Give her time to settle in before you start teasing her!
Darkfire: Guys.....
Frost: Yeah, let me settle in!
BloodIce: Hey, we're teasing you though, that means we like you!
Frost: Yeah?
BloodIce: Yeah.
Soaring: I lived in the clan you came from once.
Frost: *eyes go wide* Did you like it?
Soaring: Oh yeah, I loved it.
Frost: Why did you come here?
Soaring: Well, Froggy needed room and I kind of wanted to visit.
Frost: Oh....
Soaring: Speaking of which...isn't it her birthday?
Darkfire: FINALLY WE GOT BACK ON TRACK!
Everyone: Sorry.....
Darkfire: So, what were we going to say?
Everyone: HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOU AWESOME FROGGY AND NEVER FORGET THAT YOU ARE LOVED!

Birthday Week...Day Four

Darkfire: Now gather 'round children, and you shall hear, of the midnight run of Luna dear. She ran from her home and into the night, and to a fire clan, where she was filled with fear.
Gentleness: Do you mind if I take over, Darkfire? You're not particularly good at making up poems on the spot.
Darkfire: *sighs* Alright.
Gentleness: "She ran from her home and into the night, and to a fire clan where she was filled with fright. We said, "worry not!", and so she stayed, and now at night, she has a place worn bare where she laid.
Darkfire: I suppose you were better at it than I would have been.
Gentleness: Thank you.
Luna: Hello, Froggy! I don't know if you remember me...I was born in your lair. You sent me here to train dragons. I wanted to give you an update. I'm doing great. I'm doing everything I can to make you proud. I don't know if you're wanting me to return home someday, but I'm here until then. Staying focused, no boys for me! I just wanted to tell you happy birthday. I loved living your clan and you've sent me to another lair that I love.
Luna: Because of my gratitude to you, I'm sending back some food for my home clan...I hope it helps you out some. Happy Birthday!
